Y'know, as someone who actually used to go to the school I can say this was... pretty enjoyable actually. Lots of the staff were very nice to me, the school dinners were pretty good and I'd actually really recommend it to a lot of parents near/around the area. May it and Wrenthorpe's legacy continue.
I had a wonderful day here working with ninety KS1 children. It is a really nice school and a pleasure to visit. Teachers were great, everyone was friendly and helpful. The children were enthusiastic. I just felt I was in a lovely happy school.
I went to wrenthorpe academy, and I can't begin to explain how amazing this school is! My favorite teachers were always miss McMahon and miss mayman. The staff are amazing at teaching and the assemblies were always educational yet fun! The TAs (teaching assistants) are extremely helpful! And they do special days like: Non-uniform day, roald Dahl day, pudsey day, world book day and toy day! In year six you can do something called buddies. This is where you can look after and teach the reception children. And occasionally look after the pre - schoolers. But I only did that once, so I am not sure if your child will do this. But again, they will do buddies. Also there are many opportunities for school trips and after school clubs. These include sports, art and any other educational subject. The school trips are cheap, fun and educational. This school offers school dinners which have the nicest yet healthy meals ever! You can also bring a packed lunch. Your class can get picked to look after chickens in the garden which is very fun! I definitely recommend that you sign your children in to join this school. Take my advice and do it while you have the chance! Yours sincerely, Liam Cawthron
